AUTUMN LEAVES PAINTING

While we were out the other day , Nila and I collected up some of the fallen leaves for some crafting. We seem to have a routine of doing some sort of craft activity in the morning after breakfast.

I quite enjoy it actually and also gives me a chance to drink my coffee reasonably warm too :)

We’ve opted for some painting today- if Nila has her way then it’s painting and glue. She loves glue - especially at playgroup!

I thought we could try some leaf painting as the older two absolutely loved doing this when they were younger and I think it’s great for their concentration skills.

I used two paper plates and popped some autumn colours on each of them, and let Nila take the lead. She was trying to copy me , which was really cute , so I showed her how to paint the leaves and then stick them to the paper to make a stamper.

She loved it and kept saying ‘wow’ :) . We had the trolls soundtrack on and we both had a cup of tea and spent well over an hour making some gorgeous Autimnal creations.

We spoke about the different colours of the leaves and the texture , how they were crunchy and made a noise.

Nila ended up using the paint as glue and stuck some of the leaves onto her masterpiece and was so proud of it .

I think next time we go out I’ll be on the hunt for some conkers- I wonder what we could make with them :)

Christmas is one of the best periods of the year, when you can spend valuable time with friends and family and treat yourself to some wonderful food and drink. One of the downsides is it can cost a lot of money to organise, so it pays to save cashwherever you can.

SEVEN REASONS TO CHOOSE FRANCE AS YOUR NEXT FAMILY DESTINATION

France garners more visitors per year than any other country in the world, leaving nations like America and United Kingdom trundling at the back. Part of this appeal lies in the mild and warmth of the summers which attract waves of tourists simply seeking to soak in the sun.

BUG HUNTING

both the eldest girls always loved bugs when they were little . Kadiann even ate a snail once! I know , I know!, but they were never scared of creepy crawlers at all.

Over the last few months Nila has been frightened by every black little dot she sees!. Honestly , she points at every thing and says it’s a spider , I don’t know if it’s a faze she is going through but it really does upset her .

BACK TO SCHOOL AND PLAYGROUP WITH TRUNKI

First week back for the girls at playgroup and school and they are so glad to be back!. I think Nila has missed her little friends over the summer and Alessia couldn’t wait to go into year 6!.

MY LOVE FOR BABYWEARING

I had always said once Nila was here I wanted to try all the things I hadn’t with the older two girls as she was going to be our last baby. Now babywearing was something I hadn’t really
bothered with before , we did in fact buy a carrier with Alessia - but I never used it !

HOTTER SHOES | THE SANDALS OF DREAMS

One thing about me is I love sandals . I have so many pairs of them and I live in them all summer! . If we are going to be honest , I probably where them most of the year unless it’s raining or snowing .
