My reading has come to a bit of a slump, and I am definitely not reading as much. The joys of getting into bed and scrolling TikTok for hours, I know, shoot me!. I can't help it at the moment.
Finally finished this one, Want to know a secret by Freida McFadden.
Everyone has secrets.
YouTube baking sensation April Masterson knows the secret to the perfect gooey brownies. Or how to make key lime squares that will melt in your mouth. But if you keep watching her offline, you may find out some other secrets about April. Secrets she’d rather you didn’t know.
Like, where did her son go when he snuck out of the house? What was she doing with the local soccer coach behind fogged windows?
And what’s buried in her backyard?
Everyone has secrets. Some are worse than others.
April’s secrets are enough to destroy her.
I’ll make sure of that.
Really enjoyed this book, it was written a bit like The Housemaid, and I got a feel of that book in this, nothing the same ,story line wise, just how it was written.
I would have finished it a lot quicker than I did if I could have put my phone down. Love Island is currently on now too, so it's a toss between an hour of TV or reading, and TV is winning at the minute!, I hate to say it.
If you have any book recommendation then poop them in the comments :)
