HIGH-PROTEIN APPLE CRUMBLE OATS | WINTER BREAKFAST RECIPE

When winter hits, I swear my entire personality switches from “smoothie girl” to, give me something warm because I am freezing!. November weather is absolutely not the time for a cold protein shake. I’m sorry, but the way that cup hits your hand when it’s 4°C outside? No, thank you.

We can still enjoy really yummy food and hit those protein goals without forcing ourselves to drink something icy. Enter: Apple Crumble Protein Oats. Warm, sweet, cosy, festive… basically tastes like Christmas morning but somehow still healthy, you can thank me later :)

And yes, we are keeping the protein up thanks to the Naked Nutrition Vanilla Protein Powder, which blends in so nicely that it basically turns your oats into dessert.

This is one of those breakfasts that feels indulgent but also makes you feel like you’ve got your life together.

Ingredients for 1 serving

Oats

  • 40g oats

  • 1 cup milk or water if you are saving calories

  • 1 scoop Naked Nutrition Vanilla Protein Powder

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • Pinch of nutmeg

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 apple, chopped

Crumble topping

  • 1–2 tbsp granola

  • Little fry light

  • Extra cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar

How to Make It

  1. Add oats, milk, apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt into a pan. Let it simmer until thick for about 5 minutes or you can pop it in the microwave, I’ve done both ;) . At this point, your kitchen will smell unreal.

  2. Let it sit for a second, then stir in your Naked Nutrition Vanilla Protein Powder. This keeps it creamy and stops any weird clumps.

  3. Toast your granola in a little butter, coconut oil, or I use Frylight, with a bit of cinnamon and the brown sugar. Takes around a minute, and this will make it taste like actual crumble topping.

  4. Add your topping to your oats. Done. Happiness unlocked.

Trust me, once you make these apple crumble protein oats, they will be your go-to winter comfort bowl and I love adding Naked Nutrition’s Vanilla Protein Powder to them because it keeps me fuller for longer, is pure and clean, and doesn’t have any of the added junk you find in other brands, which is exactly why I love it so much!.
