Counting down the weeks until this book was released, the intruder was at the top of my TBR this winter. If you have followed me for a while, you will know I am such a hardcore Freida fan, and I have read every single one of her books now.

Casey's cabin in the wilderness is not built for a hurricane. Her roof shakes, the lights flicker, and the tree outside her front door sways ominously in the wind. But she's a lot more worried about the girl she discovers lurking outside her kitchen window.

The girl won't explain where she came from, or loosen her grip on the knife in her right hand. And when Casey makes a disturbing discovery in the middle of the night, things take a turn for the worse.
The girl has a dark secret. One she’ll kill to keep. And if Casey gets too close to the truth, she may not live to see the morning.
I knew it wouldn't disappoint; it was brilliant. Read it in over the course of two evenings, and as always, the ending plot had me!|. Such a great twist, I did not see it at all. I did have my thoughts on what was happening, but got it completely wrong, ha!

It sounds like a great read. I am hoping to pick up some books over the Christmas break and take a bit of time off to read!

I've only read the housemaid series by Freida because I hear such mixed things about some of her books. This does sound like a good one though x
ReplyDeleteOoh. This sounds like a great read. I love the mystery and suspense, and a good murder is always a nice addition to any book. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'll have to give this one a look. I love suspense/mystery/thrillers, and a good twist that takes me by surprise is my favorite part!
