5 TOP TIPS ON HOW TO GROW YOUR GLUTES

If you have been here for a while then you will know last year I joined the gym and have never looked back.

The gym for me is both for my physical and mental well-being and I absolutely love it.I weight train 4 times a week and I am currently concentrating on growing my glutes.

Muscle growth is definitely a process and a journey, there is no quick fix and it takes a lot of components to help with the final results.

I’ve put together some of my top tips that are helping me to grow my glutes and are essential in the process.

PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD

It’s so easy to feel intimidated in the gym at first and feel a little out of your comfort zone. I can remember spending the first month of my gym membership on the treadmill!. Progressive overload is key in growing the glute muscles and any muscles for that matter.

Take yourself to the weights section and own it ! :) . Increase the weights and lift heavy, increase your volume, so more reps and sets and focus on intensity .

GLUTE FOCUSED

I always go into the gym with a plan. Nothing worse than walking around wondering what to do next. There are so many glute focused workouts that are so effective. Find one that you love and try and aim to do this at least twice a week.

GET YOURSELF A BAND

If you haven’t got yourself some bands then what are you doing?!. Resistance bands are one of the best ways to activate and grow your glute muscles.

The Amonax bands set have three levels of resistance, which allows you to start from light to medium and then onto heavy as you become stronger.

REST & RECOVERY

These two go hand in hand. Rest and recovery is extremely important when growing muscles. They need to to rest and repair in order to grow. Take rest days and enjoy some lovely soaks in the bath with Epsom salts, so good!.

FUEL YOUR BODY

You need to be eating enough to fuel your body in order for it to perform to its maximum and also to get them booty gains.

So don’t be skipping on the jacket potatoes and chicken and eating a salad. Fuel that body with all the goodness and protein that It needs.

I’d love to know what your body goals are for this year, whether it’s simply to get your body moving more or perhaps some muscle goals you want to hit .
