CHOOSING STRUCTURE OVER CHAOS IN 2026

I have big plans this year, and by big plans, I mean becoming the happiest version of myself and the healthiest in all aspects, mind, body, and spiritIf you know me personally or have followed me for a long time, you will know I am a busy woman.

I have been self-employed for over nine years, and while being your own boss is amazing and gives you freedom, the reality is, the bills still need paying, and you need to be organised!.

So when I say I work when I want, I mean I can take a day off if I need to and make it up later, even if that’s in the middle of the night. Not something I’d recommend doing all the time, it’s hardcore and definitely not for the weak, but you get the gist.

I have worked with some amazing brands over the years and genuinely feel blessed for the life I have created for myself and the girls, but when you are juggling self-employment, motherhood, and mental health, one small slip can throw everything off, and my brain most definitely needs managing.

For the most part, I am an organised queen. Without blowing my own trumpet, I manage the house, the business, the kids, and life pretty well. But 2026 arrived, and wow, it feels like I’ve forgotten everything I have been doing for the past nine years.

My mind feels overloaded, a million thoughts, no order, no structure, and not enough time for any of it. It’s exhausting, and honestly, it’s been slowly draining my motivation.

Time management is key, but to manage your time successfully, especially as a busy woman or business owner, you need a method. You need to know what to prioritise, how to plan your days, and how to stay sane while doing it all.

I love a planner. I am such a planner girl, give me all the highlighters, cute stationery, and a fresh daily planner, and I’m happy, but if I am being real, after a few days, the cute planners aren't what I need, we all plan and work differently, it's not a one planner fits all, you know?.

Something she says in one of her books that really stuck with me, there’s no point working against what makes you feel best. The trick is finding out how you work best and building habits around that, and that’s what productivity and self-improvement should be about, getting to know yourself, your habits, and what helps you stay focused and organised.

Amen, Grace.

Sometimes, a little structure with a good planner is all your chaos needs.
