KIDS ARE EXPENSIVE RIGHT? FREE FUN FOR ALL AGES

Being a parent has got to be the best thing about my life. I absoulately love the girls and they bring me so much joy and happiness- I guess we all say that don’t we , but honestly we have such a laugh and they are all as mad as me! Which is great :)

Since having baby Nila I have noticed that the household expenses have started creeping up, kids are expensive right? , and having three of the little rascals I am always on the hunt for a bargain to cut costs down and also still enjoy life .

I thought  I would share with you some of my top tips and ideas to keep the cost of having children down when it comes to having fun - especially when the dreaded holidays kick in and the awful weather that we keep having!

Movie duvet day- now we have had quite a few of these over the last few months, the weather has been horrible!, and we are all super wimps when it comes to being cold so our movie duvet days are perfect ! I whip up some hot chocolate and a batch of my rocky road - you can make it with virtually anything you have in the cupboards , the girls pick a movie and we snuggle up on the sofa all day , literally :) .

Freebies- honestly I can’t tell you how much Free stuff for the kids I have got over the years . It’s super easy to browse through and see what you fancy , there is something for all ages I can guarantee . You can even sign up for as much as you want and keep it all in a Rainy day box for when the weather is miserable or when the pennies are a bit low and you need something to entertain the kiddies .

Board games - I don’t know any child that doesn’t love board games. My older girls love scrabble and uno , we could play for hours without even realising the time ! . Scrabble is super addictive and the girls love trying to get double letter answers for extra points - definitely take after their Dad !

Bubbles - if the older two are playing a game amongst themselves then I’ll get the bubbles out for. Ila. Easily made with fairy washing up liquid and water and they keep her giggling away for ages . She now tries to grab them which is super cute !.

I am forever trying to keep costs down and if I can entertain for free then it is a bonus!. I’d love to know your tips and tricks when it comes to fun with your children on a budget :)
