SPRUCE UP THE HOME THIS WINTER

Winter has finally hit, and it’s definitely the time we tend to spend most of our days indoors, if we can. I work from home, so I’m naturally a homebody, and with all the snow we have had over the last few days, going outside doesn’t appeal to me right now, unless it’s to make a snowman with the children :)

With more time at home, why not be a little more productive and get those jobs ticked off that list you’ve been meaning to do all year?

I love sprucing up the home in winter and making it feel that little bit more comfy and cosy. I thought I’d share some of my tips with you and give you a little inspiration.

REDECORATE

Giving a room a new lease of life by adding a bit of colour makes such a difference. Maybe freshening up the white or cream paint and adding some wallpaper to make a feature wall would transform a room completely.

REPLACE THE OLD

This is a great way to revamp without having to spend a small fortune. Replacing items with maybe a different colour theme or swapping over your curtains or bedding.

Does anyone else have themed bedding throughout the year?, Whatever it is that you are looking for, Snug Company have a wide variety of different homeware, from curtains to gorgeous bed runners.

With over 30 different fabric designs to choose from, you are sure to find something beautiful to add a bit more life to your home :).

UPCYCLE

I love up-cycling and do this every year, especially around Autumn/Winter time. It’s usually with photo frames and candles.

Spray paint some old frames to suit your new room theme, and melt up all your old leftover wax from candles to make a mystery scented candle for the winter months.

PLANTS

I know so many people who are so into plants at the moment, and they are great for mood boosters and just pretty to look at anyway, aren’t they?. My favourite go to’s at this time of year are the white orchids and the Poinsettia, which is a must for Christmas!.

I’d love to know if you are doing some revamping over this coming winter. I’d love to hear your ideas.
