Holidays for us always involve some kind of water park. You can't beat them, children and a hot country definitely equal a day out at the splash parks. We went to Benidorm this year on holiday and after doing a bit of research, we found the closest park to us was Aqualandia.
ON ARRIVAL
We went to book our tickets at the desk but the lady said we could get them a lot cheaper on,nie so we paid for them outside the attraction and then scanned our tickets to enter.
ADMISSION PRICES & OPENING TIMES
They offer tickets for a day, just the afternoon or combined with other parks so it's best to check ticket prices here before buying.
LOCKERS
Lockers are 6 euros and contactless payment. You get a pin code to open your locker and can be used throughout the day. you can also purchase waterproof phone cases here too, but we took our own to save cost as they are 10 euros.
FLOAT HIRE
For the amazon river and a few other 'lazy' areas, you will have to hire a float. Bring your own to keep the costs down as we didn't realise they weren't provided.
8 euros with 2 euros for deposit - you get a wristband so when you give it back at the end of the day you get 2 euros back. You can also store it at the desk you picked it up from to go on rides and come back for it when you need it.
AQUALANDIA
Aqualandia has fifteen water rides, adapted to all ages. Like Aqualand Tenerife, we didn't have enough time to go around this park too. It has the highest standing slide in Europe and the world's highest capsule slide - safe to say we didn't go on them!. I hate vertical drops!.
Adventureland, which Nila loved. Slides, water guns, a little water ball pit, which we hadn't seen anywhere we had been before and lots of really fun slides that kept Nila happy.
Mezz and Lessie had a blast on the smooth slides and went down super fast. Nila and I were waiting for them at the end in absolute fits of laughter.
Lessie and I really enjoyed the rapids and went on them a few times, we couldn't breathe for laughing and lost each other along the way.
FOOD & DRINK
Food and drink are average prices for somewhere like here. 10 euros for pizza, chips and a drink. We picked up a packed lunch from our hotel and took it with us to keep the costs down. You are allowed to bring your own food and drink and there is plenty of picnic benches to eat on.
We had such a blast and stayed until closing time. Most of my photos were blurry from using my camera through the waterproof case but believe me when I say it was one of the best days we had whilst on holiday!.
You CANNOT beat a good water park! We absolutely love them. Even now that my son is grown, we still love to go and hit the big slides.
