It’s the season to be jolly but let’s be honest, it can be one of the most stressful times of the year too. It’s all about balance and taking that time out in between all the chaos.

Self care is so important , especially this season, make sure you do something off my list over the holidays :)

Have a Christmas movie night, popcorn and all the blankets with the Christmas tree lights on - so cosy!.

Spend some quality time with your loved ones.

Bake some easy festive bark. Costs a few quid and the kiddies love it :).

Deck the halls - get the house looking Christmassy and cosy.

Journal and self reflect - set some intentions for the next few weeks and how you want to see the new year .

Unplug from technology - don’t fall into the trap of seeing all the ‘perfect’ Christmas’ on Instagram, we all show our good bits, I can guarantee you we are all flapping :)

Blast your Christmas playlist - I do this at least once a day, you really can’t beat a kitchen disco whilst sipping on your coffee.

Take some time out - book a morning off of work to do something nice. Go on a cinema date, go for a hot chocolate and take a book with you, it’s the simple things.

Unwind - Have a nice hot soak in the bath with one of your lush Christmas favourites . Or if you’re not a bath bomb person some bath salts and just de-stress .

Most importantly enjoy Christmas and I really hope you have a lovely one …

  1. In the times of hectic festive shopping and other preparations, taking time for self care is equally important.

  2. Self care is so important especially at this time of year when things are hectic and stressful. I agree with unplugging from social media, what people share can sometimes get you down.

  3. I definitely want to unwind a bit over Christmas. We're doing some screen free things on Xmas eve like board games and lego building. And once my latest tattoo has healed I want to have a nice bath x

  4. I am absolutely a bath bomb person. I haven't had a nice relaxing bath in a long time.

  5. I am seriously considering completely unplugging for a few days. I definitely need to.

  6. Ohh yes self love also key. Thanks for this inspiring sharing here to remind me I need more self love self care this festive time. Cheers Siennylovesdrawing
