Off work again!

I am back stuck at home again due to being off work but this time i cant even plotter around the house and get the housework done.

We had lovely snow Friday night, and if im honest, it put me in such a lovely mood, feeling excited for the coming weeks of Christmas shopping, making snowmen, the lot!. With the snow coming down fast and heavy we all knew it would settle by the morning, and it did, but by Sunday the snow had turned to ice and everyone was weary of going out and using their cars on the road.

I had work all weekend but had managed to get to and from work safely without any accidents...until Monday morning. My work boots that i wear have got to be the best boots i have ever purchased, from new look, and with wearing them every single day to and from all my calls there was going to be a time that they needed replacing!. Finding the biggest hole in the heel and revealing my multicoloured star socks i decided they were ready for the bin. Monday morning came and i ended up wearing my converses to work ,not the best idea, as i ended up slipping on an ice patch and landing on my right knee.

After spending 4 hours in A&E ,having an Xray, bandaged up and given crutches they let me go with the conditions of no walking and resting! Luckily it wasn't bad news and i have not broken any bones, just sprained my knee and bruised tendon, but for me ,sitting down and doing nothing is impossible and feels like bad news!.

So if any of you have had any bad weather or if we have any more snow heading our way in the next month just be very careful when your out and about, make sure you only use your car if its safe to drive out and check your shoes/boots for good grip as it is so easy to slip and fall and possibly do more damage than i did.

I have learnt a valuable lesson through this that i shall never forget, stock up on boots and never wear converses in the snow! :)

One of them days...Day 2!

I am sitting on my bed, its just gone 7.30pm and i am feeling like the worst person ever. I have been feeling really low over the last day and this seems to be day 2 of that feeling. Do you ever feel like everything is getting on top of you? , like that big pile of ironing you keep saying your going to get round to doing. Feeling as though i have set myself far to many goals to achieve in the shortest space of time and then feeling like i have failed before i have even started. My mind seems to run at a speed of 90mph and i really cant keep up sometimes.

I hate when these low moods hit me,and they really do hit me like a ton of bricks, and no one can get me out of it,its almost like it has to just run its course and 'wear' off. There is no reason behind it, it just happens and there is nothing i can do about it.

So far this week i have cancelled my driving lesson, forgot i had an appointment with my NVQ assessor, ignored the fact that i really need to book an appointment with the doctor, ignored cutting the grass like the plague, literally, and its only Thursday!. An epic fail of a week could not be more of an understatement but surely its not just me who has these days? is it?.

Right, I have decided to wipe the dust off of my feel good factory books and go head first into the deep end and focus all my energy, i am sure there is some in there someone, make a hot cup of chamomile tea and try and shift all this sadness and feel fresh in the morning ready to have a fantastic weekend.Wish me luck!

Until next time X

Welcome to Unconventional Kira

Hi everyone and welcome to my first blog post ahhhhhh....yes it is very scary,no not me posting my mug shot but to finally, after a whole year of telling myself i couldn't do it, to finally sitting here and typing!, and it feels pretty damn good . I will use this opportunity to tell you a bit about me and my little family. My names Kira, i am really hoping you knew that already, i work part time as a community care worker and i am currently studying for a diploma in health and social care as well as trying to be the best mother i can possibly be to my two precious daughters.

Life can sometimes feel extremely challenging for me, as i am sure it can be for everyone, but for an 'unconventional' mum,pun not intended, sometimes i wish i would wake up with a different mind set.
Which leads me onto my  name. If you have been following our channel on you tube then this weeks vlog will have me in a pickle with trying to choose a blog name as all the ones i wanted were taken, the hutts, the hutt family, kira's world, i was about to give up when a light bulb moment happened and there it was telling me that unconventional Kira was available.

I've never been the type of person that played things by the books, i have always done things differently, i am a very spiritual person and will always follow my heart, not what everyone else does. i never beamed at the thought of going to baby groups or arrived at the school gates 20 minutes early for the mother meetings that form in the school yard, that is not me. I don't have a lot of friends but the ones i have i cherish. I suffer with anxiety and low moods and the two put together can feel like a time bomb waiting to explode sometimes, so the average day to day chores and 'routines' are somewhat adjusted on them sad days so everyone in the Hutt family has a smile of their face.

So, me and Scott, we met when we were 15 on Aol chat room, remember Aol? god i feel old, we were very good friends until the age of 21 when we decided to start dating, Kadiann is not Scotts, biologically, she was 4 when he came into our lives, and then we had Alessia in 2009. Scott works full time in insurance ,which to me sounds extremely boring!, but he enjoys it and the people he works for,he has just been given a pay rise and has been asked to write a piece on the company and appear on their website which is exciting . That is a little bit about me,my life, and my absolute  world,my family.

i will leave you with a link to our youtube channel and would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think, until next time ..... - Come and check us out in action
