HOW TO BLITZ NITS ( AND OTHER NASTIES

So as a mother of two girls with beautiful long hair, i am fully aware of all the nitty gritty's that come along with that, pun intended, one of them being Nits. Mumsnet have recently released a book - How to blitz nits (and other nasties ) . This book is packed full of advice and stories to help you along the                               way of parenting, and making you laugh and giggle at the same time.

We have had our fair share of headlice to last us a life time and honestly children can get so upset about having headlice but i am pretty sure most children will of had them by the end of school and this book makes the whole 'nit' subject laughable.

"KNOW YOUR ENEMY-SKILLS;4
Blood-sucking, speed-mating,interbreeding,like a bad boyfriend,basically"

There is even a 'dragons under the bed' section, not that i have come across any of these yet...but i am definitely prepared now!.We have had a few UNDER-THE-BED-NASTIES to deal with over the years, and have tried and tested some of the ways in this book to get rid of the bogey monsters.

Although we have never come across making up a monster potion with lavender oil, getting rid of them beasties and having a home smell like Mary Poppins's has made a visit, win win in my eyes.

I have really enjoyed reading this book, made by mums with great tips and advice and a lot of laughter along the way.

You can purchase this book from Amazon for £8.99.

Thanks For Reading

  13. Oh I am itching my head while reading this! We have only had nits once so far (I hope I haven't tempted fate!). My daughter had them and she ended up giving them to me. It was awful!! The Nitty Gritty comb has been amazing! x

  17. It's good to take away the taboo that is still strong when it comes to head lice. Bring a bit of humour and practical advice and you're onto a winner. I'll have to look it up, my 10 year old has got long hair, and though she's only had them once so far, it's always good to be prepared, should the little beggars return! x

  18. God I wish I'd had this a few years back when my son went through a stage of catching them! Luckily as he's got older we've been clear!
