WHAT'S THAT SMELL? [ REVIEW ]

If you are a regular reader then you will know how much we love games as a family . They are the perfect way to get everyone together and have some quality time.We have tried and tested a fair few games over the years and always love adding new ones to our collection.

Last weekend we got the chance to try out the game that everyone has been talking about - what’s that smell?. I had heard a lot about this game and although I was somewhat dreading it , I was also looking forward to seeing if it was going to live up to the rumours! :)

What’s inside the box?

  • 48 Mystery Whiff Cards
  • 1 Pad Of Score Sheets
  • 1 Sheet Of Whiff Strips
  • 6 Cardholders
  • 4 Stank cards In Reusable Bags - To Keep the Stink In :)

The aim of the game is pretty simple . You all have a cardholder each with one of the mystery whiff cards in . Start the timer and start sniffing . You can use the whiff strips to scratch and get more of the smell, but honestly? You really don’t need to! :)

You can earn extra points for guessing which category that scent is connected with and also by sharing your funniest memory with it .

When the timer runs out , you then pass your whiff cards around and then continue guessing the smells until you have completed the round .

The winner of each round - Nose it all - will then get to pick someone to suffer the whiff of shame , which is three big sniffs of one of the stank cards . These cards are vile! And smell exactly like what they say they are! I could taste it!

You can also download the What’s that smell app for added fun and can even record yourself sniffing the cards and watch them back which was pretty funny , as I couldn’t stop gagging, I know! I am such a wimp :)

What’s that smell? retails at £24.99 and can be bought in Smyths. It is aimed at 14 years + , but Alessia wanted to play and she’s 9 and she actually won some of the rounds . I think the age restriction could be because of the different types of smell that younger children might not be able to guess.

We have had so much fun with this game and definitely give it a 10/10!

-We were sent this product in exchange for an honest review
