DECORATING THE GIRLS BEDROOM

If you have been a follower for a while then you will know the younger two girls have now been out of their own rooms and are sharing..

We live in a 3 bedroom house and it was always going to happen , but finding the right time to do it was what I was waiting for . Alessia is 10 and Nila is 2, so there is an age gap there that I was worried about but we bit the bullet and did the move .

We actually swapped rooms as our bedroom is the biggest and would be better for fitting their beds in and their endless amount of toys - girls and their dolls right?

We decided to decorate first and we actually did it all in one day. Don’t get me wrong , we was absolutely knackered by the end of it but the room looks amazing and I am so happy with it and so are the girls .

We opted for bunk beds for space reasons and also the ones we chose came with shelves which helped with space too.

We decided on getting a Kallax to fit into the alcove for all their blocks and dress up sets but we had to take out all the old skirting and honestly , it needed replacing anyway and literally fell off when I took a hammer to it.

MDF Skiritng world have a fantastic website that can help you with all your skirting board needs . I’ll be honest , we haven’t a clue when it comes to things like this and would just pick anything but skirting world actually have 100 designs to choose from and you can also create your own design or match your existing skirting .

We opted for a new design and the Ogee skirting was what we went for . You can get it in white or pine and the fact that there isn’t anywhere for dust to hide in it just sold it for me !

The girls love their new room and now it’s been full redecorated , it’ll last them a lifetime :)
