When it comes to comfort food , you really can’t beat a decent cheeseburger and fries . I love making homemade burgers and chips , they are the girls’ favourite!.
I suffer quite bad with bloating and just feeling uncomfortable if I eat to much bread , I know a lot of people suffer with bread bloat too .
So I’ve put together a cheeseburger in a bowl recipe and it is SO good!.
There are a few different recipes going around for this but I’ve made up a quick and simple one which doesn’t take no time at all and is absolutely delicious.
WHAT YOU NEED
200G lean beef mince / you could swap this for quorn mince
Salad / you can add as much or less of what you like but I use
1 cup lettuce
1 cup cucumber
100g tomatoes sliced
100g sliced gherkins
30G lighter mature cheese
FOR THE SAUCE
30G lighter than light Mayonaise
5 G Burger blend
gherkin juice to your consistency
Pop your mince in the frying pan and let it fry off with your burger blend. I get my burger blend spice from JD seasonings but you can make your own with mustard powder and smoked paprika :)
While that’s cooking , pop all your salad in a bowl and season it with a little salt and pepper .
Mix your sauce ingredients together and add extra to your liking . Some like a more spicy burger sauce .
One your mince is cooked , use half of your sauce for your salad then layer your mince , add the rest of your sauce , then add your cheese.
Honestly , this is incredible and tastes just like a burger!.
