AD | MORE SAUSAGES | EVERY DOGS DREAM

Christmas isn’t that far away now and I know I haven’t quite finished with the girls’ presents yet, are you all done?. One thing we do get them every year is books, we are a family of book worms and new books for Christmas are a must!.

More sausages is a lovely children’s book released just in time for Christmas. 

The story is about a dog called Carter. His owners Mr and Mrs Bloom are becoming older and are moving into a care home where dogs aren’t allowed.

They unfortunately have to give Carter to Penton Kennels, which breaks their heart but they hope for Carter to find a loving home soon.

The shelter is far from the life Carter had at home at the Bloom’s farmhouse. He is hungry, bored and so lonely.Finding his forever home seems like a long journey ahead of him.

Carter and his friends at the Kennel spend their days performing for the families and children that pass by and as each day passes he hopes his tricks will get him that forever home he longs for.

I won’t spoil the ending but the girls have loved this book and it is currently one of their favourites at bedtime now.

Author Arabella Bumfuzzle has a soft spot for dogs having worked as a volunteer at the Dog Rescue Centres for many years. Whilst working there she got an insight into the dogs’ behaviour and possibly their thoughts as they experienced everyday life in the kennels.

They were also quite partial to a sausage hence the name of this book, more sausages :) 

I love this story and it’s such a heart felt one. I think it would make a lovely gift paired up with a cuddly dog toy , or a great stocking filler.
