They live in Norfolk so it’s a five hour drive and very hard to just pop up, so a festive weekend is what we’ve done and it’s been so nice.
We went out into town and did some of the free Elf activities. Nila got her face painted and made some Christmas tree decorations.
We got a festive bake for lunch of course and a gingerbread latte and then headed to the arcade, yes they are still open!.
Lessie won the ticket jackpot!, and Nila won an absolute ton of huggy wuggy toys- if you don’t know what they are then good for you, ha!. Also if you do know what they are ,don’t judge my parenting, I can’t be perfect all the time :)
We got back and the Elves had destroyed the carrots for our Christmas dinner. The Elves always show up here, and the girls love it!.
No carrots was a win as Nila hates them :)
I think a Christmas dinner here is another tradition we will continue to do. Making memories for the girls is so important to me and Christmas for me is all about that.
We have played games , watched films and laughed and it’s really been lovely .
We are off home today ready for the Christmas chaos to begin, have you got all your shopping done and presents wrapped?.
I am done with just a few presents to wrap and then I can enjoy the holiday season .
It is lovely having traditions like that, we used to go to my grandparents every year, and I still havee such fond memories
