WHAT I’M READING | CHRISTMAS EDITION

Reading has always been a love of mine and I honestly could open up a library I have that many books, I’d love my own, think beauty and the beast and that would be my dream!.

Work and a busy life seems to get in the way of reading and I use any spare time to catch up with work, I am always saying, ‘no rest for the wicked’, but I really want and need to start prioritising myself in the new year.

My happiness is important just as my children’s is, and I think as parents we put our little ones first and almost forget ourselves.

Anyway, let’s not get to deep :), it’s Christmas in a week and I am SO excited!. I started a new book last week and I thought I’d do a monthly series on the blog, what I’m reading.

This month has been a slow starter but I will definitely finish this one. It’s called One day in December by Josie Silver. It’s a penguin book, I love these ones for an easy read.

They are also great to get you back into reading too and definitely ones that don’t need a lot of work, if you are a reader then you will know what I mean.

One day in December is about two people that catch each other’s eye on a bus for a split second and everything changes.

Laurie is pretty sure love at first sight doesn't exist. After all, life isn't a scene from the movies, is it? But then, through a misted-up bus window one freezing day, she sees a man she knows instantly is the one. Their eyes meet, there's a moment of pure magic... and then her bus drives away.

Laurie thinks she'll never see the boy from the bus again. But at a party later that year, her best friend Sarah introduces her to the new love of her life. Who is, of course, the boy from the bus.

Determined to let him go, Laurie gets on with her life. But what if fate has other plans?

I won’t spoil it for anyone that hasn’t read it yet but I am completely sucked in and find myself picking it up every 5 minutes I’ve got which is always a good sign with a book.

Let me know what you’ve been reading this month and anything festive I can add to my list for next year :)

  2. It is great to hear that this book is an easier read for those getting back into reading! I always feel like reading is this massive task, so having something that feels easy to get into is great.
