HOW TO MAKE EASY SLUSHIES AT HOME

Nothing beats a refreshing slushie on a hot day,ask my children!.All three of my girls have loved slushies during the summer and they are currently Nila's obsession. We picked up some really cool slushie cups at our local wacky recently and taking them back makes the slushie cheaper, but homemade slushies cost next to nothing!.

If you're looking for an easy and fun way to make slushies at home, you've come to the right place. Using slushie ice pops and a blender, you can whip one up in no time.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to making perfect homemade slushies

Ingredients and Supplies

  • Slushie ice pops or syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Blender
  • Water

Slushie made with syrup

This is one of the easiest ways and the first way we made them. We have been picking up the slushie juice from Home Bargains for the past few years. Nila loves it in water as a juice and we came up with this idea after we missed the ice cream van which sells slushies .

Pop some ice in a blender with half a cup of water and a good few squirts of the syrup and blend. These taste so good and so much cheaper than buying a slushi everytime the ice cream van comes :)

Slushie made with ice pops

Choose your favourite slushie ice pops. You can mix and match different flavours for a unique taste or stick to one flavour, it’s entirely up to you. The girls sometimes mix blue raspberry and cherry which tastes pretty nice!.

Pop them in the blender, depending on how big or small your cup is will depend on how many you need. You can alwasy add extra if you need them.

Pop a little bit of water(50ML)  into the blender then blend.

This slushi summer hack is going to save you a small fortune if your little ones love them as much as mine do.

Let me know if you make them and what your favouite mix is :)
