Nothing beats getting out in the fresh air on a sunny day, and that’s exactly what we did at Tittesworth Reservoir today, as I had found an Easter trail to do, and nothing shouts a good day out with chocolate at the end of it, right? :)
The Easter trail costs just £4, and you can pick up your activity sheet from the café. The idea is simple but brilliant: the Easter Bunny has hidden a trail of eggs around the reservoir, and each one contains clues to answer questions on your sheet.
At first, we were a little sceptical; we thought the eggs might be small and tricky to find, but we couldn’t have been more wrong. The clues were big, bright, and really easy to spot, which made it perfect for my impatient 8-year-old :)
One of the best things about the trail is that it naturally takes you on a lovely walk around the reservoir. It’s a great way to get little ones moving without them even realising they are exercising.
We ended up getting loads of steps in and making the most of the sunshine. If you are looking for family-friendly walks in Staffordshire, this is definitely one to add to your list.
After completing the trail, Nila was able to choose her prize, a Cadbury caramel button chocolate egg, which, of course, made her day!
There is also a park on site as well as a cafe, ice cream van and picnic tables, so it's definitely a day out!
It’s these kinds of days that remind you how important it is to slow down and spend quality time together; these are the best days.

Tittesworth Trail sounds like an amazing spot! I love the views you shared, and you can't beat that price.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds perfect - you can't beat fresh air and a bonus if the sun is shining too. A great little Easter day out for the family to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI do love little trips out like this, a great way to get out in the fresh air and what better way to end than an easter egg
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a lovely day out, especially with kids. We’re always looking for things like this to get outside more, it’s nice having simple ideas that don’t need loads of planning. A cafe and an ice cream van is a win in our book, coffee for us and ice cream for my son :)

We went to an egg hunt that was organized by a nearby farm and it was soooo much fun. The easter trail is such a fun thing to do.
ReplyDeleteAt the end of the day, spending time together as much as you can is all that matters. Well done and thank you for sharing your experience!
