A weekend away was just what we needed, and our 3-night stay at Richardson’s Holiday Park in Norfolk was the perfect break. Fun, carefree and full of so many laughs, it really helped us recharge and make some unforgettable family memories this summer.

We were booked into their Platinum Plus 2 Lodge with Hot Tub, and honestly, we are already planning when to go back next summer. It is the little things that get me. Not the big, dramatic moments, not the funeral or the eulogy, not the solemn goodbyes or the quiet, aching car rides. It’s the strange, ordinary spaces where grief creeps in. Uninvited. Unexpected. Loud, despite saying nothing.
I have been waiting for this day for such a long time. Honestly, there were moments when I wasn’t sure it would ever happen. I don’t even want to think about the amount of money that’s gone into lessons and tests (this definitely wasn’t my first rodeo ), but I have finally done it… I passed my driving test!
We have had quite a few home days so far this summer holiday. The weather hasn’t been great, lots of rainy days, movie afternoons, and indoor play. Today the sun has finally made an appearance, so we decided to make the most of it with a little girls' retail therapy and a cinema date!
Summer just wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the zoo. The girls absolutely love it, and it is always such a lovely, long day out. One of our go-to spots when we visit my mum in Norfolk is Thrigby Wildlife Gardens in Filby, and if you haven’t been yet, pop it on your must-visit list!
