Back-to-school season is here,I must admit, the summer holidays have flown by, and I am actually quite sad about it. Whether your kiddies are starting school or heading off to college, the right essentials make the transition smoother and not so stressful In our home, Nila is heading back to school while Lessie is starting college, so we have been busy finding the perfect mix of school and college must-haves. Samantha Hayes is becoming one of my favourite authors at the moment. I have signed up to Kindle Unlimited again after having a bit of a break, but I have got to admit, Kindle Unlimited is such good value for money, and a lot of Samantha's books are on there.

SMALL DRIVE, BIG WIN | MY FIRST SOLO TRIP TO THE PARK

Today I went on my very first little road trip, and honestly, what a buzz it was! When I say “road trip,” it was only a 20-minute drive to the park, but for me, that is such a big achievement. Any journey I make alone as a new driver is a huge win, and these are the moments I have been so excited for since passing my driving test a few weeks ago.

 Colouring this evening with Nila really got me thinking about how fast these years go by. It honestly feels like yesterday she was shuffling around on her bum because she couldn’t quite crawl yet, and now she’s getting so big, I can’t quite believe it.

THE GARDEN CHALLENGE THAT TESTED MY PATIENCE

 The weather this summer has been absolutely glorious, and it’s done wonders for my mood. There’s something about waking up to blue skies and warm sunshine that makes the whole day feel brighter and I love being in my mums garden with a tea in the morning sun. We’ve been staying at my mum’s since our weekend away at Richardson’s holiday park , and it’s been lovely spending a few weeks here during the holidays.

There are loads of amazing family attractions nearby, perfect for keeping everyone happy no matter their age, and trust me, with an 8-year-old and a 22-year-old, I know the age gap struggle can be real! :)

A weekend away was just what we needed, and our 3-night stay at Richardson’s Holiday Park in Norfolk was the perfect break. Fun, carefree and full of so many laughs, it really helped us recharge and make some unforgettable family memories this summer.
