TODAY WAS A BETTER ONE

Today has been a good day , and I’ll be the first to admit there isn’t many good days at the minute and we are all struggling to find balance.



The girls are amazing with their work and although homeschooling is a little boring for them and really not as fun as being with their friends , they are absolutely smashing it!.

We’ve managed to find an hour a day , where both the girls have a break at the same time and we have had made this our getting out time . 




I get lunch set up before we leave and then head out . We headed out today and it was so needed. I have been putting off going out for a few days, blaming all sorts , the weather , to busy, maybe tomorrow.

The truth is , I am struggling with my mental health and have let it get on top of me and felt a little like I’ve been stuck in a black cloud, which I know a lot of us are feeling like this at the moment but today I made a deal with myself that it stops.



We got our wellies on and headed to the forest behind the house , such a blessing in theses times .



The girls climbed trees and we went on a lion hunt , although pretending to find the gruffalo scared Nila , which did make us giggle a bit as she was adamant she saw it ! :)




An hour of fresh air and no pressure was definitely what I needed to give myself that kick.

I’m going to sit down this evening with a brew and write down some things that will help and encourage me to keep myself happy and mentally healthy :)

  2. No, there aren't many good days at the moment and it is all starting to become rather tiresome. What a fab place to walk out for some fresh air and climb trees, a fabulous distraction from the craziness! Sim

  3. Awww, such lovely photos! I want to go on a lion hunt! It's great you've found an hour break where both girls can get outside (and you of course), I hope your mental health improves a bit. I know I have been really struggling too, as well as a lot of other parents. Keep going!

  5. I think it's making that move and doing something about it when you feel that depressive mood that can be hard. I know it's really difficult for most of us at the moment, I have found it hard not having anything to look forward to. Keep your chin up, things will slowly improve
