UNICORN TEA PARTY WITH BAKING MAD

Last weekend we hosted a party , for no reason whatsoever! Who needs an excuse to invite all your friends round for a unicorn tea party?!

To be honest with you, it actually fit in well- Alessia started a new school on Monday and she got to invite some of her friends over for the party  and have an awesome time before the big move- which I will add , went so well and she is absolutely loving her new school!

We received a party kit from Baking Mad and i was pretty impressed with what you receive - minus the eggs and butter , you are provided with the essentials to make the party kit cake of your choice- we chose unicorns as we are slightly obsessed with them! , but there are a few themes to choose from.

The girls and I got our bake on and we had such a laugh, there were sprinkles everywhere and I mean everywhere! Thank god for the cordless Dyson! I don’t think I have ever used it as much as I did whilst baking the cake .

I was a little worried about the cake , but after I let it set in the fridge for a while I thought it actually turned out pretty perfect and tasted amazing!

I baked the cupcakes the morning of the party , set the table and put the kettle on. We had mummy friends, daddy friends, Alessia’s friends , Kadiann’s friends and don’t forget baby Nila - who was in awe of all the guests and even tried to steal the party bags :)

The afternoon went better than I expected , a lot of clearing up to do and another round with the good old dyson :) we even ended up with an unexpected sleepover.

All in all I was really happy with our tea party and I think we all needed to let our hair down , have a good catch up and eat plenty of cake !
