CHRISTMAS SENSORY TRAY

When it comes to babies and toddlers , I find the simple at home play time can be so fun for them and you really don’t need that much at all.

I set out a Christmas sensory tray for Nila with minimal effort . She’s been feeling really rubbish since having her jabs last week and I knew she would absolutely love this!.

She is 17 months old now and I feel that the bits I used for this tray are appropriate for her age - of course monitor your little ones whenever they are playing for choking hazards and all that jazz :)

For the ‘tray’ I used some spare wallpaper actually that we had in the cupboard . It is snow like and has glitter in it which made it perfect for this craft session. Then all you really need is any little Christmas nick nacks

We used tinsel- which Nila is not a fan of at the minute! :) baubles , Chrismtas ribbon and gift tags. We had the bows out and some little Christmas craft bits - trees and houses . These items were all laying around the home and we didn’t have to buy anything for this activity.

Nila was in her element !. She plonked herself in the middle of the tray and was in her glory. She loves sorting at the minute too, it is one of her favourite things to do , so I used the container the ribbons we’re in for her to fill up and empty

We had a lovely afternoon and it kept her amused for well over an hour and didn’t take long to put away once she was done .

I’d love to hear if you recreate our Christmas sensory tray and what your little ones thought of it :)
