Easter half term is finally here and I don’t know about you, but 2 weeks off school seems to go so slow and I’ll admit , my kiddies do end up saying the dreaded ‘I am Bored’ a few times.

We’ve been sent some really cool science kits from Thames & Kosmos to keep the girls entertained and also educate them over the holidays .

We are also off to Hemsby for a week so these will be perfect to take away too if you’ve planned a getaway with the kiddies.

There are so many kits to choose from. The collection covers minerals, planets, crystals, pre-historic crustaceans and so much more . Kids learn so much more through play and these kits are brilliant for this :)

We received two Kits to test out- Amazing minerals and Crystal Geode. Alessia is doing her archeology badge for brownies so dug right into the minerals set .

The kit has 5 different gemstones hidden in plaster for you to dig up and find with the two tools provided. Even Nila joined in with this and loved copying her sister. It took a while to get through to all of the gems but we really enjoyed this one .

It also comes with a magnifying glass to get up close and personal with the gems :)

Crystal Geode kit has all the ingredients you need to grow your own crystals. The set has three different experiments to choose from and they all have different steps.

We went with making a crystal with the self cast plaster mould. It was really easy to make and also encourages children to learn and use the step by step guides on their own - with an adult checking over of course :)

We left our mould to dry over night and it looks pretty amazing if you ask me .

All the kits are suitable from ages 8+ and are priced at £8.99, which I think is such good value for money. They can be purchased from Amazon and also

If you’d like to win your very own set to get experimenting with then click below and enter our competition :)
