One thing I wanted to do last year was take the girls to a pumpkin patch. We’ve never been before and we absolutely love halloween and thought it would be great to pick our own pumpkins and obviously support the farmers by doing so.
We never got round to it last year , I actually think little Nila was poorly , but this morning I decided on a whim to head up to wheelock farm in Sandbach and go pumpkin picking .
I had seen someone post on social media that they have been last weekend and it actually isn’t to far from us , about half an hour , so I packed our welly boots and hats and we headed out .
I didn’t realise you had to pay but was surprised with how much there is to do for the price - £6 per child and that includes the outdoor play area , the indoor soft play area, seeing the farm animals , visiting the pumpkin patch and also taking a trip through the corn maze.
Although we didn’t do the corn maze today as it started pouring it down , but will definitely try it out In the summer as they have one then too :)
The girls absolutely loved picking their own pumpkins and we were actually on the lookout for a square own . If you have Netflix then look for spookley the square pumpkin - it’s currently our favourite cartoon about a square pumpkin who is the odd one out so we were on the hunt for him today.
We found him :) - as well as a little baba one and another one for their big sister :)
They’ve also let off some energy in the play area whilst it rained a little and had a tea and hot chocolate pit stop before saying hello to all the animals . The baby piggies were the cutest little things!.
We stopped off for some dinner before heading home . The girls are absolutely shattered and are out like a light . We will definitely be making this a new tradition 🎃
