5 REASONS TO VISIT THE SEALIFE CENTRE IN GREAT YARMOUTH

Sealife centre in Great Yarmouth is somewhere we visit quite often with my parents living in Norfolk and the girls love going back to see what’s new. We’ve had plenty of underwater adventures there and it’s always a nice family day out and here is why.

FUN FOR ALL AGES

Whether you have a 2 year old, a 15 year old or taking your grandad with you. It’s a fantastic day out for all. Sealife cater for all ages and all the family get involved on our visits.

 RAINFOREST RANGER AREA

The centre has just opened up their new Rainforest Ranger area which is so cool. Lots of creatures including the leaf - cutter Ants which were so fascinating. We couldn’t believe that they were travelling from one side of the Rainforest area to the other to collecting leaves which we saw on their back. Incredible!.

Did you know that the leaf cutter ants grow their own food in underground fungus farms and then pieces of leaves are carried hundreds of metres, with each ant carrying up to 50 times its own body weight? , that is amazing.

ACTIVITIES AND PRIZES

Every time we have visited there have been activity sheets for the children to do. Clues and questions all around the aquarium for you to find and answer.

Don’t forget to hand in your sheet at the end for your prizes. Sweets, medals and posters are up for grabs :)

JELLY INVADERS

The jellyfish have always been my favourite. I don’t know what it is about them but they are so mesmerising. The area is quite beautiful actually and all the tanks are colour changing which makes it really cool for the kids.

Jelly fish have been swimming in the ocean for more than 500 billion years , that’s what the scientist believe and there is over 350 different types of them too!.

LIVE INTERACTION

Throughout your whole visit there are a number of life talks and feeding times with Sea-life , including the playtime with the penguins.

You can also purchase food at the welcome desk which is really fun for the children too :)

Have you ever visited? What was your favourite part?
