TOP 4 TIPS WHEN TRAVELLING SOLO

The thought of travelling solo use to be so daunting and sound scary to me, I would of never thought of travelling alone , especially out of the UK.

Last year I travelled with Jet2 on a press trip to Costa Dorada and it was incredible. I can’t tell you how nervous I was, but once I was there I had an amazing time and there really wasn’t anything to worry about.

I wanted to share with you some of my top tips when travelling solo or in a group of people that you don’t know.

CHECKLIST

When you are travelling with friends or family , something you have forgotten , will usually be brought with someone else so you can swap and share bits and pieces right?.

Travelling alone, I wrote a checklist of everything I needed and would need whilst I was there and when I was packing my suitcase , I ticked them off one by one so there was no chance of forgetting something.

SHARE YOUR LOCATION

Make sure you share your location with people you know just incase of any emergencies. Perhaps you have an itinerary of what you will be getting up to on your trip, share this with friends and family so you can be tracked if you are needed to.

PACK LIGHT

Unless you have amazing biceps, I suggest packing light :) . Nothing worse than having to lug a super heavy suitcase with 20 different pairs of sandals ‘just incase’ you need them.

I used probably half of what I packed for our trip last year , so less is definitely more!.

HAVE FUN

Last but not least, have fun. You will honestly have the best time. Self discovery and self growth is something that happens whilst you are on your own and you will come back from your trip feeling a whole different you :)

I’m travelling solo again soon to Croatia and I am super excited, can’t wait to tell you all about it!.

  1. The last but not least is the most important one. I have never travelled alone actually, and am not sure if it's for me.
