HOW TO REVERSE SKIN AGING

I know what you are thinking, how can you reverse skin aging, it’s impossible. I am 37, and I honestly don’t think my skin has ever looked and felt any better than it does right now.

Reducing the skin aging process isn’t as hard as it sounds and here are a few steps you can take for youthful looking skin again :)

STOP SMOKING

I was a smoker for quite a few years and stopped almost 10 years ago and oh my , the difference to my skin has been incredible. Smoking promotes melanocyte formation in the skin which actually leads to age spots and dark spots. Smokers tend to get dull and dry skin which is due to the restricted blood flow to the skin which can deprive it of oxygen and other nutrients.

Since stopping smoking, my skin has more fullness and life to it. I have also noticed that my upper lip is looking a lot more healthier, so if you are a smoker, ditch the cigarettes.

THE RIGHT SKINCARE

The world of skincare can be quite a scary place, if you are starting out new and haven’t got a clue on where to start. It doesn’t have to be complicated.

My post on how to build a skincare routine has simple steps on what you need and how to build an easy and affordable routine that is sustainable and most importantly realistic.

HYDRATION

Are you drinking enough water?. I can probably answer this question for you. When I started to increase my intake of water, the difference in my skin was ridiculous. Everyone says drinking more water is good for your skin, but I didn’t think it would as good as it has been.

If you do struggle to drink plain water - sometimes I just can’t stomach it, try adding some sugar free squash in. Aim for at least 2 litres a day, more in the summer months , if the sun does decide to show itself in the UK :)

SPF

Use SPF daily . It might sound like an obvious one but I know when the sun is shining in my garden, I couldn’t think of anything more perfect than to sit in it with a good book and an iced coffee.

I love feeling the sun on my face, it honestly makes me so happy, but always remember your SPF, even on the cloudy days . Protecting yourself from the harmful rays are going to keep the dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles at bay.

BOTOX

As we get older, our skin changes and sometimes we might need a little extra help. I have been thinking about Botox for a few years, and I know quite a few people who have also, but one thing that puts them off is finding the money for it every 6 months , it can be quit costly.

Training yourself has become so popular this past year and it’s a great investment if Botox is something you are going to incorporate into your skincare routine.

There are Botox training courses in every area that provide fully comprehensive training for medical professionals looking to train in Aesthetics. You will learn all the skills you need ,experience and business knowledge in facial aesthetic treatments.

Lots of information on the NHS website on Botox .

I’d love to know your beauty secrets when it comes to keeping  your skin looking and feeling healthy and youthful.

  2. At 29 I look 40 TBH. Your techinique sounds really wholesome. I am afraid of this BOTOX one because on screen we come across stuff on how it went wrong.
