THE CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR AT THE HIPPODROME GREAT YARMOUTH

Christmas to me this year has been about making memories. Being present with the children and enjoying the things we should be enjoying.

Taking things back to basics and really appreciating time spent together. For the past two years, we have been taking a little road trip to Nanny and Grandads in Norfolk for the weekend and it has become a bit of a Christmas tradition of ours now.

HIPPODROME THEATRE

The Christmas Spectacular is being showed at the Hippdrome in Great Yarmouth this festive time and I couldn’t wait to take the girls and my parents to see the show.

We love the Hippodrome and have seen quite a few of their shows throughout the year, but we have never been to the Christmas one so we were all so excited . Big Christmas people over here :)

Inside the theatre  you can purchase popcorn , cold drinks, nachos, sweets and slushies as well as flashing lights for the children.

Next door is the cafe where we got some teas, carrot cake and biscoff cake and let me tell you, the cakes are absolutely delicious.

Toilets are easy to access, so if you do have children, they are right by the doors parents :)

THE CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR

The show is a mix between circus acts and story telling. I love the way they set out the shows at the hippodrome, they are never boring and so different to others we have seen.

Christmas music and Xmas jumper wearing acts gave it that extra festive cheer. Not forgetting it snowed :)

Santa even made an appearance which we weren’t  expecting at all. On his sleigh, in the water!.

WATER SHOW

Peter Jay restored the water spectacle for his first produced circus show in 1981 and it’s been a major part of the shows ever since and they really are magnificent.

From the filling of the water to the opening of the floor - it is all really fascinating.

The water act is absolutely breath taking, they are perfectly in sync and amaze us every time.

CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

We ended the show with everyone on their feet singing, dancing and wishing everyone a merry Christmas. It was such a lovely atmosphere and put us in the Christmas spirit for sure.

If you are looking to book to see The Christmas Spectacular, it is running up until the 7th January.
