WHAT I'M READING | MARCH

I am slowly getting through my bookshelf and have said I won't purchase any new books until I have read them all. I have caved into a few book buys but they were on my reading list and at the charity shop for 60p so I couldn't refuse and this one was the biggest bargain yet!.

My local Starbucks has now got a book bucket where you can give a donation and grab yourself a book, love the idea and love a rummage in a bargain bucket :)

I was waiting for my coffee and thought ill have a nosey, as you do. The first book I spotted was this one, which has been on my reading list for a while and I was SO excited, definitely fate right?.

I checked my purse, as I rarely have money in there, and I found four 5p's. I got this book for 20p and honestly, it put me in the best mood all day :)

Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey is my current read and I haven't been able to put it down.

How do you solve a mystery when you can't remember the clues?

Maud is forgetful. She makes a cup of tea and doesn't remember to drink it. She goes to the shops and forgets why she went. Sometimes her home is unrecognizable - or her daughter Helen seems a total stranger.

But there's one thing Maud is sure of: her friend Elizabeth is missing. The note in her pocket tells her so. And no matter who tells her to stop going on about it, to leave it alone, to shut up, Maud will get to the bottom of it.

Because somewhere in Maud's damaged mind lies the answer to an unsolved seventy-year-old mystery. One everyone has forgotten about.

Everyone, except Maud . . .

From the first few pages, I was hooked. It is one of them books where you really can't put it down, stay up a little later to read another chapter and on the edge of your seat waiting for what’s going to happen next .

10/10!
