A SLICE OF SLIME | SLIME SENSATIONS SUGARY CRUSH CAKE

In a world full of slime kits, we have definitely tried out our fair share of them. I have three daughters, my eldest being 21, which means we have years of slime reviewing under our belts. We've seen it all—from the good, the bad to the sticky messes that some kits turn out to be, epic fails!.

We were sent the So Slime Sensations birthday cake kit to try out over the summer holidays and Nila could not wait to test it out - eager beaver this one is :)

The kit includes:

• Cake stand
• Piping syringe
• Mould
• Cake sprinkles
• cake frosting
• Butter slime
• whipped creams
• Recipe book
• Spatula

Everything is clearly labeled, and the instructions are straightforward, making it easy for kids to follow along without much help from adults.

Make your cake stand and start with creating the bases. Nila loved his as you get slime to replicate an egg - clear slime and orange slime for the yoke.

Make up your sponge bases with the mould provided and layer them on the cake stand.

Next is the icing - this was a messy step and we loved it, trying to stretch it out to cover the whole cake had us in fits of giggles. Smooth it over with your spatula and then get decorating.

We made the frosting and popped it into the syringe to make some swirls to put our cherrys on top and then nila went to town with the sprinkles.

Now crush it!!

 Nila said this was her favouirte part and was itching to squish the cake !. The slime smells so good too which is always a bonus!.

Slime-making kits are excellent for children because they combine fun, learning and creativity. These kits allow little ones to express their imagination by creating unique slime mixtures while also developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through the process of mixing and kneading. 

They also introduce basic scientific concepts, teaching children about measurements, proportions and chemical reaction aswell as a screen-free activity! :)
