After getting into a reading slump because I put a Kindle ban on myself for the month of October, I have finally finished a book!.
My last Kindle read was Wild Eyes By Elsie Silver, such a great read! but looking at my bookshelf I decided to go Kindle unlimited cold turkey for this month and I have really struggled.
I suffer from tendonitis in my wrists so holding books can become quite painful, especially if I have been working all day on my Mac - so holding a book of an evening really puts me off.
anyway, I finally got into this one, it's a book I picked up quite a while ago in the charity shop for 60p, I love a bargain! I have read quite a few books from Claire Douglas...
The couple At No.9..
When Saffron Cutler and her boyfriend Tom move into 9 Skelton Place, they didn't expect to find this.
Two bodies were buried under the patio over thirty years ago.
When the police launch a murder investigation, they ask to speak to the cottage's former owner - Saffy's grandmother, Rose, whose Alzheimer's clouds her memory.
But it is clear she remembers something . . .
What happened thirty years ago?
What part did her grandmother play?
And is Saffy now in danger? . . .
What a book!. The best psychological thriller book I have read since The Housemaid by Freida McFadden .Lots of jaw dropping moments and then the biggest plot twist of an ending. Well done to Claire on this book!.
Here are a few other book reviews I have done
