Boxing Day for me means the Lush sale, first and foremost. If you have been here for a while, you will know the love I have for Lush is very real. It’s my favourite place and never has a sale apart from today, and since I love nothing more than a long soak in the bath and good skincare, you better believe I will be in the queue waiting for that door to open every single Boxing Day.
We usually start the morning with coffee and snuggles with Nila while watching Stick Man, but both girls were poorly and still asleep, so I left them to rest and headed out shopping in peace, spoiled! :)
We grabbed a gingerbread latte from a new coffee shop on the way, which was really nice and definitely somewhere we will go again. Then it was time to queue and grab my goodies. I was lucky this year and managed to get some really lovely bits, so my Lush stash is well and truly topped up and should see me through until the next sale comes around.
We have also been to watch The Housemaid, which I have waited so long to see. I have read all of the books and was counting down the days for the new book releases and then the film.
I loved the film. Obviously, they have to cram a lot into a short amount of time, so the books are definitely more detailed. You can read my full Housemaid book review here.
There were parts where you know what’s coming before the scene even starts, simply because you have read the book, but it was still really good and so happy to see to at the cinema, such a cinema girl!.
I’m really enjoying taking some time off work with clients and just enjoying doing nothing, or doing things when I want, if that makes sense. Games, films, a bit of work, lazy days, this part of Christmas is honestly my favourite. The slower pace, the cosy days with the girls, and just being present without rushing anywhere.
