WHAT I’M READING | CHRISTMAS DAY | MIKAYLA DAVIDS

Sometimes I come across a short story on kindle unlimited , around 100 pages and they are the perfect book to get me out of a reading slump. My A game when it comes to reading over the last few months have not been up to scratch.

I think I have been so busy with work, reading has been a struggle and trying to concentrate has been awful.

I came across Christmas Day by Mikayla David’s and thought I would see if a shorter book could help get me out of the funk.

It’s Christmas Day and my family are opening presents around the tree. Lights twinkle, festive music is playing and everything looks perfect. But when I open an unexpected gift and discover what’s inside, I’m left reeling. I feel like I can’t breathe…

The truth I’ve just unwrapped has the power to destroy everything. Looking around at the smiling faces of my loved ones – my handsome husband, my complicated sister, my loving mother – I question: who sent this, and why?

With lies unravelling fast, I try to work out who the gift is from and which member of my family is playing a deadly game. Will I be able to protect my own secret – and my life?

Or will this Christmas Day end in murder?

Loved it , gave me cluedo vibes but with the festive edge to it. Being a short novel really did help and I am finally back on my bookworm path :)

  1. Getting lost in a short thriller is the only way I can actually finish a book lately too.

  4. This sounds interesting as there aren't that many mystery/ thriller books that are Christmas themed, they're almost always romances. If I need a quick little boost I may give this a go x
