January is here, and I already have so many plans for the house. I don’t know what it is about a new year, but it just screams revamp the home to me. Not a full 360 obviously, my bank balance would absolutely not cope, but I really believe it’s the small changes that give a home a whole new lease of life.
Even subtle updates like switching curtains or blinds, refreshing cushions, or moving artwork around can completely change how a room feels.
For me, it’s always the little things that make the biggest difference. Changing candles, swapping photo frames, or updating soft furnishings can instantly lift a space without turning your home into a building site. It’s such an easy way to fall back in love with your home, especially after the long winter months when everything can feel a bit flat, anyone else feeling the January blues?.
That’s why I was very excited to see that Linda Barker has launched her brand new Spice Trail Collection with Terrys, and honestly, it is gorgeous. The prints are lush, full of detail, and bring so much warmth and character into a room. There are so many tones, and it pairs beautifully with wood, creams and warm metals. The Agra Printed Cotton Fabric in Emerald is absolutely beautiful. The print is stunning, and I have completely got my heart set on curtains in this design for the living room. They would add just the right amount of colour and sass without needing to change anything else.
