The last few months with work have been quite manic, but in the best possible way. I absolutely love growing my business, and I’m always looking for ways to improve myself, learn new things, and become better at what I do.
As a social media manager and content creator, learning is a huge part of the job. Trends change, platforms evolve, and there are always new strategies to explore when it comes to creating engaging content for clients.
I’ve worked with cameras for over 10 years now, and like most technology, there is always something new coming out. Whether it’s a camera that’s better suited for filming or one that’s perfect for photography, there’s always something new to learn, and I love getting stuck into the technical side of it all.
I firmly believe there is always more to learn in life. Whether that’s a new hobby, developing new business skills, or improving your photography and content creation skills, there is always room to grow.
Call me a nerd, but I love it.
Recently I bought a new camera, yes, I know what you are thinking, another one!, but cameras are like my right arm. When you are running content creation days for businesses, having the right equipment and knowing how to use it properly makes all the difference.
After getting this new DSLR, one I hadn’t actually used before, I decided to look into a course that would help me get the most out of it. What started as a quick search turned into a bit of a rabbit hole. Please tell me I’m not the only one who does this!.
Before I knew it, I had signed up for an Open University for Digital Photography.
Fees paid, camera ready, and I start next week!
Another little milestone for me this year is that I turn 40 in April, and if there’s one thing I want people to take from this, it’s that it’s never too late to learn something new or invest in yourself.
Age really doesn’t matter when it comes to growth. Whether you are starting a new career, building a business, or simply learning a new skill, you are never too old to go for it.
One thing about me is that when I set my mind to something, I go all in and give it everything I’ve got. I’ve always been like that, and my girls definitely take after me in that way too.
I’m really excited to start this course, learn some new digital photography techniques, and bring even more skills into my content creation and social media management work.
Here’s to learning, growing, and proving that it’s never too late to start something new.
