OUR ROAD TRIPS MADE EASY WITH KWIK FIT

Lately I’ve been dreaming about just going on a road trip, me and the girls, all bundled up as a family in the car to go and see a new part of the world, ideally somewhere scenic, and relaxing.

Kwik Fit have recently released an eBook all about the worlds most scenic drive, and after having a flick through I feel really inspired to take some time out as a family and road trip the old fashion way :)

It has everything in this eBook- from telling you which would be the best vehicle for the journey, the best time to travel, how long it takes and even where to shop! I’ve never come across such an informative book and it really is worth getting hold of.

I actually don’t drive , Scott is the car driver in our house, but the Kwik Fit eBook has really motivated me to re start my lessons actually . I feel like we are missing out on so much of the world and the gorgeous places.

It’s surprising how beautiful the world is and how many places there are to visit!. I’d love to make a bucket list for next year and hopefully tick them all off by the end of the year, how amazing would that be!

Of course, we would need to make sure the car is as safe as can be for our family, making sure our tyres have enough tread and are well within the legal limit, as well as making sure we have an up to date MOT , you can never be too careful when it comes to cars.

There are a few things we check over before we head out on any car journeys , especially the long ones as we actually got stuck in Wales on holiday last year due to a flat car battery! It really doesn’t take that much effort to maintain your car , which will keep both the driver and all passengers safe on your travel :)

  • Check your battery is fully charged!! :)
  • Your lights are working and are clean - it’s surprising how brighter your lights get by giving them a quick wash over with some soapy water
  • Check over your tyres and the tread - a quick tip for checking the tread with a 20p. Place your coin into the main tread grove. If the outer edge of the 20p is obscured when it is inserted then your tread is above the legal limit :)
  • Check your brakes are working well

  • All fluids have been topped up and are clean - there is nothing worse than turning your windscreen wipers on to find out you have no water to clean the muck off your window!

I definitely  think my first stop would have to be Iceland. I have always wanted to explore there and with the eBook , I have all the tips and advice I need :)
