So me and the besties have been trying to organise a shopping day for the LONGEST time !. Since last September to be precise! :)We finally managed to book our trains for Manchester for an epic day of shopping and Gin :)
I haven’t been feeling myself over the past week- struggling with mental health is awful isn’t it , and honestly when I have my bad moments they usually pass, but it has been the longest week of hell and I haven’t been able to shift it at all.
I wasn’t going to go yesterday in all honestly , my head just wasn’t in it and I didn’t want to fake it , we’ve all been there haven’t we , put that smile on even though it’s the last thing we want to do.
I woke up yesterday morning and decided that I was going to go and this would be a line drawn in this horrible place I have been and I was going to try my hardest to get out of the funk.
So off to Manchester I went - and it was the absolute best!!!
Of course we started the morning - 10am with a fry up and gin :) it had to be done . This day was definitely starting with style :)
I googled some witchy shops as we were all in need of something . I was on the look out for white sage incense sticks and grabbed a few packs, as well as some other beautiful stuff including a gorgeous sphere rose quartz which is going to be perfect for relaxing meditation.
Lush was definitely on the cards and I was treated to a lovely hand massage and had a good spending spree in there - if you know me by now them you’ll know this was obviously going
To happen . I picked up the Lord of Misrule perfume too which smells incredible.
We had Chinese for lunch and had such a laugh - as well as putting the world to right. When you meet up with your besties and talk about anything and everything - you know your having a good time.
Pandora shop was hectic! Debbie decoded she wanted to buy the whole contents . If I’d of known we were going to be in there that long , I would of definitely brought a chair with me :)
The girls treated me to a new pandora charm each which was so lovely and honestly the whole day just made me feel 100 times better .
We ended the day in the pub that we started in with a few more gins and moaning about
How shopping is hard work and all the aches we had - like three little old women ha!
I had the best day and will definitely be making this a regular thing . Friends are definitely important and needed in life - no matter what anyone tells you x
It looks like you had a wonderful day, especially if you started it with gin so early :) I actually went to Lush the other day and got a couple of bath bombs to treat myself.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to spend the day. It sounds like you have some very special friends there.
ReplyDeleteI went shopping with my bridesmaids recently for their dresses and I just had the best day ever!
Sounds like a lovely day out! Sometimes you just have to take a step back from the hectic day-to-day life
ReplyDeleteAww it sounds like you had a lovely day out with your friends and how lovely they treated you to a new charm - special way to remember to special day.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame that life gets in the way and delays catch up with best friends, however, the wait is always worth it when you do get to catch up. You had a wonderful day and managed to bag some fantastic items.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Manchester but it looks like a great destination for a UK city break; I'll have to bear it in mind for the future.
ReplyDeleteDid you head to Afflecks? That place is an absolute treasure trove and definitely on my must visit list every time I go to Manchester.
ReplyDeleteIt is so lovely to catch up with friends, I really need to find more time to meet up with mine. Looks like you got some lovely treats
ReplyDeleteAwww what a lovely catch-up, whenever my friends and I go shopping at the end we complain like the old women that we are lol.
ReplyDeleteOh I absolutely LOVE a look in Pandora when I'm in town! xxx
