TOP TIPS FOR CREATING THE PERFECT COSY LIVING ROOM THIS AUTUMN

If like us you are slowly getting through the house renovations room by room then you will know it is definitely time consuming.

We decided to do a room at a time for less mess and clutter and with having three children , it’s a lot easier to close a door on a room you are decorating and leave it for the next day.

We’ve just finished the living room just in time for Autumn and it’s super cosy and if I am honest ,my favourite room in the house now .

I’ve got some top tips to help you create the perfect cosy living room for this Autumn.

Flooring

I love laminated flooring, I always have done . Pair it up with rugs and floor cushions , and it really brings out a room . There are so many different designs you can choose from depending on if you are changing your entire room or just want a fresh look.

Great if you have kids too , the drink spillages can easily be cleaned up and it so much easier to keep clean as a whole . We had carpet and using the carpet cleaner , the results were horrific! , carpet gets so dirty and are so unhygienic.

Feature Wall

A feature wall is a great idea to give your room a new lease of life . It definitely transforms a room without having to do so much to it, and a nice designed wallpaper , could have your living room looking more expensive than it actually is :)

Cushions and throws

Purchasing some new cushions and throws is a great way to change up the theme of your room if you have a really tight budget and you are not wanting to change the decor so much. Some fluffy cushions and a chunky throw over your sofa is a lovely way to transform a room and give it a bit of warmth ready for the colder months.

Candles

Candles are my absolute favourite and I have them in every single room. Different scents definitely  bring out the different seasons and we’ve been burning all the pumpkin spice to give us that cosy Autumn vibes that we have been going for.

Are you giving any rooms a revamp this year? I’d love to see the final results :)
