JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED

Isolation is definitely taking its toll on me and I have been really struggling with it all, I know we all are and we all have our good and bad days.

I think because I work from home and homeschool the children , it is just me and the girls , day in day out .

Adult conversation during the day is non existent and our daily walks are just us as I don’t have any friends or family close by.

I’ve definitely been feeling the loneliness sinking in and human interaction- yes I know we are in a pandemic and not allowed to mingle but I’m sure you know what I mean.

The sun was shining this morning so we packed the scooters and bikes and headed to the park . I had no idea if it was going to be busy but said to the girls if it was to busy we would just go and scooter along the lake.

It wasn’t to busy and honestly , they had the best time ever , which made my heart happy but also sad as they are really missing all the simple things.

Nila made two boyfriends at the park - doesn’t surprise me , ha! :)

She was in absolute awe of being with children and was so happy playing on the slide and making friends.

Talking to the parents and just being around other adults for me, was definitely what the doctor ordered. You know the type of conversations you have at the park with the parents?, god I have missed them!.

Lessie had a blast on her bike and she’s smashing it!. She learnt to ride it on Boxing Day and is an absolute pro now!.

I came away from our trip with the best feeling. We all needed it and it was the best afternoon we have had in a long time.

Although it went from sunny to snow to rain in one day- crazy how mad this weather is getting. We’ve snuggled up with some YouTube and coffee and warm milks.

Days like this will definitely become the normal again soon , we have just got to be positive.

  1. Awww, sometimes you really do need that adult interaction otherwise you'll go insane! So I'm glad that you felt good just after all of that. The fresh air and exercise helps so much.

  2. Sometimes you just need to get out and do something like this. It can get extremely overwhelming at home day in, day out.

  5. I can really relate to this. I am feeling so lonely and my anxiety is through the roof! Trying to juggle home school and working from home is exhausting, especially when the kids have lost all motivation for it. It is so lovely you managed to get out and about though and it sounds like the kids had a great time.

  6. I can relate so much to this. I feel like I'm either at work or stuck at home and it's really taking it's toll. It feels so much harder this time round.
