SHOPPING GRIEF AND FEELING SOME KIND OF NORMAL

We had planned today last week and I can honestly say it’s something I have actually been looking forward to since the sad news.

My uncle who I was extremely close with passed away and I will be totally honest with you, I am struggling,it’s hard and still is- grief definitely hits you in waves and when you least expect it during a day or week.

I am trying and we are all trying to get back to some kind of normal and today was so needed and I really did feel a little bit lighter, does that make sense?.

I went the gym which I have really missed and absolutely loved being back, it does wonders for my mental health and I am loving prioritising me and myself and I feel so good in my own skin finally!.

Me and Kay headed to town afterwards for a mooch and coffee!. We actually ended up with a Starbucks peach iced tea and then a costa strawberry lemonade, no coffee in sight as it was so warm, the weather has been glorious!, I was ready for bed by the afternoon though as one coffee a day is not a vibe! :)

We also headed to find some bikinis and summer bits as I am actually going on a press trip to Spain at the end of this month and have nothing to take and no idea what to take either.

I picked up a few bits and Kay treated herself to some bits too- she turns 19 on the 29th May so shopping with her is always fun.

We tried out the new lotus biscoff rocky road in Costa too and it was SO good- if you’ve been a follower for a while then you will know the biscoff obsession is strong here , so we don’t turn down any biscoff opportunities!.

It’s been a good day and I am absolutely wiped , bubble bath and some pretty little liars for me , hope you all have a lovely weekend..

  4. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how difficult it is to get back into the routine of life when you're grieving. I think the most valuable lesson I learned was allowing yourself that time to feel everything and not pushing yourself too hard too quickly. Be gentle with yourself. Love and prayers to you and your family.
