5 REASONS WHY COSTA DORADA IS A GREAT FAMILY HOLIDAY DESTINATION

If you saw over on Instagram, I have recently got back from a trip with Jet2 exploring Costa Dorada and seeing if the city would make a great holiday place for families.

I had such a fun time on my travels and found so much to do not only whilst I was there alone but that families would absolutely love, and with that being said I’ve come up with a little round up of my top 5 reasons why Costa Dorada would make a brilliant place for a family holiday.  .

Budget Happy

Now we all know a family holiday is never cheap and there is always some saving and budgeting to do before hand which is great for keeping costs low, planning for a little trip out whilst you are away or extra pennies for the kids to go and get some souvenirs, but Costa Dorada as a whole is a budget happy holiday.

With package holidays In Costa Dorada costing just over £500 this summer, which includes all the flights, 22KG luggage, which I couldn’t even use that with my suitcase before or after my holiday, and I picked up a lot of nick nacks exploring Cambrils on one of the Jet2holidays within this budget.

Family Friendly Resorts

Costa Dorada is full of family friendly resorts. Whether you are looking for self catering or going all out inclusive and eating and drinking until your bellies pop!, or perhaps you are more of a water slide splash family, they have so many family friendly resorts to choose from.

I stayed at El Estival Dorado Resort with Jet2holidays and I absolutely loved it,it’s perfect for families. They have a splash park, pools inside and out, restaurants and bars.

I loved the breakfast there. Fresh pancakes made every morning with lemon and sugar was honestly heaven - as well as the delicious ripe fruit - take me back!.

They also have a mini club for children aged 3-7 between 10-1pm and 4-6 pm which is great for parents to get a little time to maybe have dinner together or enjoy the gardens as the gardens at El Estival are absolutely beautiful.

Short Flights

When we are searching for family holidays, we always look for shorter flights first. Depending on how young your children are, a long flight isn’t going to be any fun, no matter how many snacks you have in tow :)

The flights to Reus with Jet2 , which is Costa Dorada’s main airport, are around 2 hours which is perfect for children and keeps that excitement going rather than a ‘are we there yet’ moment!.

Beautiful Beaches

If you have been a regular reader for a while now then you will know I have such a love for the beach. The beaches in Costa Dorada are stunning, absolutely breath taking. I could of sat on the beach all day and just soaked up all that goodness.

One of the best beaches I came across was in Salou, it was mesmerising and the longest promenade to walk along with ice creams for all the family :)

Family Days Out

A family holiday that has everything within reach is always a bonus isn’t it?. What’s more, being able to plan family days out on your doorstep right?, a family fun day out at a one of the PortAventura World theme parks will definitely be winning you some parent brownie points.

With over 40 rides and shows for all ages, everyone in the family will be smiling.

Don’t forget your swim gear though as there is also a water park with so much to do. Rides and slides or relax in the pool, it’s definitely a trip to book whilst you are out there.

My time out in Costa Dorada was amazing . The food was delicious, the people so friendly and such a lovely place to be in.
