SKINCARE TIPS FOR SENSITIVE SKIN ON A BUDGET

When it comes to skin types I  think I have had most of them, as skin can fluctuate depending on the time of the year, product change ,hormones and all the other factors in between.

So you have sensitive skin and are looking to build yourself a skincare routine based around this. Have no fear, know the struggles of trying to find skincare products that won't irritate your skin.

I have tried to create a simply but effective skincare routine that you can follow day and night and see results.

STEP 1 - CLEANSER

When it comes to cleansers, there are quite a few products out there that cater for sensitive skin. Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser is formulated and infused with kiwi fruit and Mulberry extract ,provides gentle exfoliation and has all the nourishment with the Cocoa Butter leaving skin feeling super soft and renewed. RRP £8.99 with a face cloth.

I love this one and have never had a break out or any kind of reaction to this one. They are normally on offer for 3 for 2  or buy one get one free.

STEP 2 - TONER

For me, Toner is a step that I just can't miss out. Refreshing and effective enough to restore your PH levels without affecting your skin's barrier function is the timer you should be using. Look for alcohol - free and rose water based as that is the most gentle product ingredient.

Eau Roma Water from Lush is a beautiful spray Toner, that was created to tone, hydrate and soothe your skin which has been my holy grail for years. RRP £8.

STEP 3 - EYE CREAM

Eye cream can be so hit and miss and I have recently had a big flare up to some new eye which wasn't pretty. Do they make a difference?, who knows but if you are looking to add one into your skincare routine , stick to a gentle non fragranced one that will target what you need, whether that's dry under eyes, dark circles or fine lines.

I have gone back to the Enchanted eye cream from Lush which helps to depuff the under eyes and brightens them up too. RRP £20.

STEP 4 - MOISTURISER

Moisturiser is the essential part of your skincare and there is so much to choose from. Sensitive skin will benefit from any creams that contain Aloe Vera, Chamomile , Lavender or Shea Butter. This step can be trial and error but do ask for samples if they have any.

Daily renew cream from Evolve Beauty is so dreamy on. Delicately fragranced with soothing hypoallergenic vanilla and natural coconut.Evolve Beauty use lower molecular weight Hylauronic Acid which penetrates deeper and has a more effective hydrating property.

I have been using this one for the past 12 months and have noticed a difference in my skin.

STEP 5 - SUNCREAM

Last but definitely not least, suncream. There are two I use every year and will not sway from them now. Garnier Ambre Solaire Hydrating Sun cream Mist is great for over make up and can be touched up throughout the day with just a spritz. RRP £12

Monat mineral sunscreen is a lightweight and creamy blend of goodness. Recommended by the Skin cancer foundation and feels amazing on. Not sticky and fast absorbing - perfect !. It is an investment but it lasts for ages which is saving you in the long run!. RRP £42 .

for any other specific products you’d like to know about then leave a comment :)
