FUN THINGS TO DO IN AND AROUND STAFFORDSHIRE THIS HALF TERM

May Half term is only a few days away and I love nothing more than getting organised and finding some free and really cheap fun days out for me and the children.

We are going to my mum and dads for most of the half term this time, but I wanted to share some of the fun things I have found for you to do in and around Staffordshire. The weather is so good at the minute and it just keeps getting better, so swimming is definitely on our bucket list this half term.

Congleton Paddling Pool is the perfect little day trip. It is open from Sunday 27th May everyday with two sessions 10-1pm and 2-5pm, booking is essential via the council website.

Head to the park afterwards, the kids will love it.There is usually an ice cream van around too - bonus!.

Amerton Farm in Stafford have a fun filled half term including tractor rides, fun in their wooden play area, sand pit and bouncing castles. Wristband entry allows you to come and go all day, perfect!.

Entry fee starts at £3.99, another great one to pack a picnic and have a cheap day out for the family.

Hanley Park have their usual free activities on throughout the week including Wild Wednesday where you can plant sunflowers and go on a nature scavenger hunt, Fantastic Friday where you can make bubble bees and nectar feeders and of course their adventure play area which is one of our favourites.

The local cinemas are always showing their Kids club films and movies for juniors for as little as £2.49. Some of the films include Epic Tales and Hey Duggee.

The Mitchell art centre have some children's films showing this half term too and for £3.50, you get a free adult entry!. One of our favourite films are on this half term, Luca :)

Stanworth's Fun fairs is at Hanley Forest Park until the 4th June. The wristbands start from £7.99, but worth the money. We went here last year and left at closing time.

To save on budget, you could take some sandwiches and snacks as food plus the wristband prices can become expensive .

On a tight budget?, pop yourself some coffee in a flask and head out to feed the ducks.Take the Nobby ends of the bread - no one likes them, do they -The half term really doesn't have to be extravagant , and the simple things are more than often, the best days :)

If you know of any fun , free and cheap days out for this half term then let me know :)
