Three more sleeps to go and then Christmas will be here. I can’t quite believe how fast the year has gone. It has absolutely flown by and what a year we have had. It’s definitely been a busy one and I am determined to take the next few days as slow as I can.
I am normally frantically wrapping on Christmas Eve until silly o’clock, I am talking 4am, I know, crazy right?. This Christmas I promised myself I would get everything done as early as I can so I can take in the moment and really enjoy it.
All the presents were done, dusted and wrapped on Wednesday, I can’t actually believe I did it, but I wasn’t going to stop until I got them all wrapped, my poor back!.If anyone opened up a wrapping service I think it would be an absolute hit this time of year, no one enjoys wrapping do they?.
I finished work for the holidays yesterday. I am back in on the 27th doing some admin bits but apart from that it’s a chilled Christmas holidays with no last minute work bits which is music to my ears.
I am sitting here with my coffee watching Stacey’s Christmas crafts and taking a slow afternoon which I most definitely deserve.
The children break up today and I can’t wait to snuggle them all weekend and get set for Santa, Nila is beyond excited this year, although she is a little poorly , we’ve got doctors later on today so hopefully we can get something to tide us over .
If you are done and sitting back relaxing then cheers!, if not then please don’t panic. Christmas, although it is a lovely time of year and magical for some, it is a day , a day where you do not need to break the bank for, cry over or feel you haven’t done enough.
Put your feet up, take 5 and it’ll all be ok.
Merry Christmas!
Taking a break from work and spending quality time with family, especially during the festive days, is truly precious.
ReplyDeleteI was already prepared this year and it's so nice to be able to relax and enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a wise decision to take in the moments and savor the joy without the last-minute stress. Enjoy your well-deserved slow afternoon with Stacey's Christmas crafts and a coffee. Wishing you a relaxing holiday with your family, and hoping Nila feels better soon. Your reminder to take it easy and not stress over the details is spot on. Merry Christmas!
