TOP TIPS ON HOW YOU CAN RENOVATE YOUR HOME ON A BUDGET

One thing I love to do once January hits is a big deep clean. Something about a New Year gives me the motivation and urge to declutter the house, get rid of anything we dont need and make the home a happy fresh place for another year. Home renovations are not cheap and I love to give the rooms, especially the bedrooms a fresh new look, on a budget of course. Cost of living is always a worry isn't it, so I love to shop around and do my home renovations on a budget.

HERE ARE MY TOP TIPS ON HOW YOU CAN  RENOVATE YOUR HOME ON A BUDGET.

PLAN & BUDGET

First of all, what do you want to change and freshen up ?. it might be that you are happy with the bedrooms and only want to revamp the kitchen or you have a little bit more in your budget to do extra spaces in the home. Plan out what it is you want to change before anything else.

THRIFT / CHARITY SHOPS

I can not tell you how much stuff I find when thrifting. I absolutely love a charity shop hunt and it gives me so much joy to know I am buying something that I really need for a fraction of the price I would buy in the shops and the money is going to charity.

DO IT YOURSELF!

Now I am no Bob the Builder, but I do know how to paint. It really isn't hard is it and although some of us hate the idea of DIY, it will save you an absolute fortune rather than getting someone else in, trust me. Grab your friend or your husband and do it yourself, within reason :)

SHOP AROUND

Whether you are looking for a certain type of rug for the lounge or some bay window shutters, always shop around. Price match and see what are the better deals as well as what will add value and look fantastic in your home too!.

Bay windows were actually designed to increase the light and view out into your home, however, sometimes the light can be too much when you are trying to work or watch the TV, which is why bay window shutters are perfect for bay windows. We love ours and they transform a room completely.

DECOR

When we think of renovation, we think of walls being knocked down, a complete transformation of painting, wallpaper, carpets - the whole lot, but you can transform your home really easily with decor. Some new print work for the walls, fake vases of flowers and candles.

A new candle will bring all the warmth to a room and the new smells with automatically give it a new feel of atmosphere.

I would love to know if you are doing any revamping to your home this year ...
