4 WEEK SOFT CHALLENGE

4-week countdown now until we are in sunny Tenefire on our girl's holiday and I am so excited I just can't wait. The girls and I have been talking about what we want to take and all the things we can get up to while we are there, including the sushi restaurant I have found whilst having a nosey.

I decided to restart the soft challenge as I tried to start it in January and it lasted not even 4 days. I wasn't in the right head space and in all honesty I think January is probably the worst month to start anything new.

So this month I am starting it back up again ready and motivated to smash it in time for my holiday.

If you are unfamiliar with the soft challenge it is actually a 75-day challenge but you can make it your own, amend it, change the rules and make it essentially cater to you and what you want to achieve and stick to them every day for the duration of the challenge. It is all about setting intentions and habits that will become normal and your every day to day routine

So here is mine...

MOVE MY BODY

I haven't moved for over 2 weeks so this is at the top of my list!. Moving my body for 45 minutes every day. That can be a session at the gym, a walk or a run on my treadmill. I bought a walking pad a few years ago and it has been a godsend!. A home workout or even a YouTube Disney exercise video with the children. Hitting 8K steps minimum too.

READ

My goal this year is to read a book a month, I am on book four already!, been slacking a bit with Love Island being on, priorities right, but a chapter at least a night and I am loving being back in my book worm era :)

EAT WELL

I am currently self-sabotaging all of the progress I have made over the past 6 months with eating and training with my PT. Christmas did it for me and I am struggling to get back on track, so back to my Calorie Deficit and meal planning.

HYDRATE

Trying to aim for at least one of my big bottles of water or sugar-free juice a day. I fill it up in the morning and usually drink 2 but I have been rubbish and forgetting so this definitely has to be on this challenge to kick this habit back in.

TIME OUT

Taking some time out for me every day. That might be a soak in the bath, a face mask - not this one at the minute as I have had a reaction to some under-eye mask and my face is rough at the minute!, doing my nails, watching Eastenders, scrolling TikTok for 5 minutes, something that I can do peacefully with a cup of tea and no distractions :)

They are my challenge rules. Nothing too impossible but things that are going to make me see a difference and a change at the end of it.

Have you ever tried or heard of the soft challenge before?
