DISCOVER SCIENCE WITH LEARNING RESOURCES

All the girls have loved anything to do with science from as little as I can remember. Something about getting stuck into an experiment - they have absolutely loved over the years and we are always on the lookout for something new to explore.

Learning resources have the most amazing range of sets for all ages and we have been testing out the Fizzy Volcano Science Lab from their selection this half term.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

The 13-piece set includes ..

  • 3 test tubes
  • 2 lids
  • 1 two piece fossil maker
  • 2x dinosaur figures
  • 1 stir stick
  • 1 eye dropper
  • 1 funnel
  • 1 volcano flask
  • 1 volcano storage tray

The booklet has ten experiments which you will need most household ingredients to conjour up - things like baking powder, vinegar and food colouring.

You can make things like Jurassic park slime, create prehistoric putty and experiement with fizzy fossils.

We made the prehistoric Volcano over the weekend and it was a blast!

Heres How..

What you will need

  • Baking powder
  • Vinegar
  • Baking sheet
  • Food colouring

Place the flask in the center opening of the tray.Insert one of the test tubes. This will be your volcano site. Place it on a baking sheet to catch any spillover.

Insert the funnel into the test tube. Measure and pour 3/4 of a cup of vinegar into the test tube. Squeeze in several drops of food colouring and stir with the spoon.

Pour two teaspoons of baking soda in the flask.

Now pour the colourful vinegar over the baking soda and watch what happens, the volcano will erupt straight away!.

Such a great set and perfect for weekend fun , rainy days or learning all things science :)
